Paneer Pakoda | Indian Cottage Cheese Fritters | Tofu Fritters | Indian Street Food


Enjoy your favourite Paneer as a snack with these crispy Paneer Pakoda.




Ingredients:


  • 10 pieces Paneer/ Cottage Cheese
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • ½ Lemon Juice


For the batter:


  • 1 cup Chickpea Flour
  • Pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Green Chilli Paste
  • Coriander Leaves
  • ½ glass Water
  • Salt to taste


Method:
  • For the batter, add chickpea flour, turmeric, red chilli powder, ginger garlic green chilli paste, coriander leaves and water and mix well till the batter achieves medium consistency.
  • Coat Paneer cubes in hot oil and fry till golden.
  • Paneer Pakodas fry very quickly, so be careful that they don’t burn.

Idli Chilli Fry Idli Fry / Fried Idli – Chinese Style | Indian Street Food


Give a Chinese twist to your Idli with Idli Chilli Fry.


Ingredients:


  • 10 leftover Idli
  • 1 cup Corn Flour
  • 8-10 Garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Schezwan Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 cup Spring Onion
  • Coriander Leaves
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Pinch of Turmeric
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required


Method:


  • Cut Idli into long pieces.
  • Take corn flour and mix it with little water and salt to make slurry.
  • Dip the Idli pieces in slurry and deep fry till golden brown.
  • Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan.
  • Switch off the flame and add garlic, red chilli sauce, Schezwan sauce, tomato ketchup, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt and mix well.
  • Add fried Idli, spring onion and coriander leaves and mix well.
